SUNY GeneseoINTD 105 Writing Seminar Assessment

The Critical Writing and Reading Core Committee, under the direction of Professor Rachel Hall, collected its first set of assessment data at the end of the requirement's first semester, Fall 2000. Two sets of data were considered: a survey of students, in which they rated how well they believed the intended learning outcomes of INTD 105 were met; and a faculty-scored set of anonymous essays written by students as the fifth or sixth assignment of the term.

The summary of the Fall Assessment was prepared in a paper delivered by Professor Celia Easton to the SUNY Council on Writing in March 2001. Some appendices are under construction and will be linked soon.
